According to the preliminary investigation, the motorcycle and the semi were headed south on County Road 25A when the big rig made a right turn to enter the parking lot of a business.

The two vehicles collided there, across from the Paul Sherry Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership, in the 8600 block of County Road 25A.

The semi driver was not injured, the lieutenant said. CareFlight took the motorcyclist to the hospital.

Police shut down the roadway in both directions for a time to deal with the accident scene.

Lt. Gearing said the police investigation into which driver was at fault is continuing.
