ANNA — UPDATE @ 10:55 a.m.:
Anna firefighters were quick to douse a fire in a piece of machinery at the Honda Engine Plant at 12500 Meranda Road near Anna in Shelby County.
The fire was “quickly knocked down,” said Anna Fire Chief Tim Bender.
The fire was contained in an enclosed grinding-cutting machine in the plant.
An estimate of damage was not yet available, Bender said.
Botkins, Jackson Center and Van Buren Township fire departments all responded to the scene.
INITIAL REPORT:
A minor fire was reported at the Honda Engine Plant this morning.
Shelby County Regional Dispatch records indicated it was a machine fire that was quickly knocked down.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
The fire was reported around 9 a.m.
