Woman arrested in connection to stabbing on Fountain Avenue in Dayton

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 6:15 a.m: The woman in custody in connection to a stabbing at a residence on Fountain Avenue early Thursday has been identified as Christine M. Griffin, 52, according to the Montgomery County Jail site.

Griffin is currently being on held on charges of felonious assault, jail records show.

The woman stabbing victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to an area hospital.

Her identity has yet to be released.

INITIAL REPORT

One person is in custody after a stabbing occurred on Fountain Avenue early Thursday.

Dayton police say they were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block around 12:30 a.m. and found a victim, only identified as an adult female, with injuries as a result of being stabbed.

Officials located another woman on scene and found her to be the suspect in the incident. She will be booked in Montgomery County Jail.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries believed to be non-life threatening. It is not clear where the woman was stabbed, authorities said.

Neither the suspect’s nor victim’s identities were immediately available.
