Dayton man identified as victim killed in Greene County head-on crash

GREENE COUNTY — One person was killed and another person was injured after a two-vehicle crash in Greene County Tuesday evening.

The Xenia post of Ohio State Highway Patrol said crews were called to respond to the crash in the area of Colonel Glenn Highway and Mission Point Boulevard at around 7:20 p.m.

A Chevrolet driven by William Doyle III, 35, of Dayton was traveling northeast on Colonel Glenn Highway when he drove off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and overcorrected, according to a release.

Doyle then crossed the centerline and into the path of a Honda driven by Madison Davis, 27, of Beavercreek.

Doyle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Davis suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Soin Medical Center.

The highway was closed for around three hours as crews investigated.

Troopers said alcohol is suspected as being a factor in the crash, but definitive results won’t be known until toxicology testing is completed.

The crash remains under investigation.
