4 years after Delphi murders, families of Libby German and Abby Williams still seek justice

Delphi, Indiana — Four years ago on Valentine’s Day, the bodies of Libby German and Abby Williams were found in the woods near a trail in Delphi, Indiana.

To this day, their families are still looking for healing and justice for the two girls, who were only 13 and 14-years-old when they were murdered by an unknown killer after walking on the Monon High Bridge Trail in 2017.

Almost two years ago, investigators released a second sketch of the girls’ killer, and even video and audio, but no arrests have been made.

“The clock is ticking for him. whether it be today or tomorrow, the clock is ticking. technology is getting better and better and we are going to get him,” said Becky Patty, Libby German’s grandmother, who hasn’t lost hope that the killer will be found.

The families have put their trust into law enforcement that justice will one day be served and continue to share the girls’ stories.

“Our job in this is to keep the information out there and just keep the awareness about the case and hopefully it gets in front of the right person,” said Mike Patty, Libby German’s grandfather.

This year the girls would have been seniors in high school and getting ready to graduate in May.

The families continue to thank the community for their support throughout the case.

“They have been very patient with us and we request they continue to do that,” Mike Patty said.
