2 in custody after pursuit ends in Auglaize County

AUGLAIZE COUNTY — Two people have been taken into custody after a pursuit ended in Auglaize County this afternoon.

State troopers said the pursuit began in Allen County and traveled into Auglaize County, where state troopers began assisting in the chase.

Initial reports indicated the chase went along U.S. 33 before ending near Short Road and Dixie Highway around 1:30 p.m.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office is handling the case and any charges that may come from it, troopers said.

It’s not immediately clear why the vehicle involved was being chased.
