A multi-million dollar renovation project for Hobart Arena in Troy has taken a step toward becoming reality.
Troy City Council agreed Monday to support a $7.35 million expansion and renovation project at the city-owned arena, which is 68 years old.
The plans call for an addition to the building, adding more restrooms, widening the hallways and and an area for food service.
Construction could begin as early as November and would take about 10 to 12 months if council approves legislation.
