Shots fired while police respond to Trotwood domestic call

UPDATE @ 10:30 a.m.:

A man who broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment shot himself after police arrived, according to Trotwood Police Captain Daniel Heath. 

The man was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

INITIAL REPORT:

We have heard reports of shots fired after police responded to a domestic report in the 1500 block of Shiloh Springs Road in Trotwood. 

According to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center, police originally responded to a complaint where the caller said an ex-boyfriend kicked in the door and held a gun to her face. 

We have crews on scene, and will update this story as we receive more information.
