SPRINGFIELD — UPDATE @ 9:40 p.m. (June 8)
The Springfield Police Division did not name the suspect arrested Friday evening following the Security National Bank robbery.
However, Clark County Jail records show that 55-year-old Jeffrey Scott Holbert was booked Friday night on a felony robbery charge after he was arrested by Springfield police.
Holbert is being held on a $50,000 bond while he awaits a Monday arraignment in Clark County Municipal Court, online jail records show.
Police nabbed a suspect a couple blocks away within minutes of a robbery Friday evening at Security National Bank.
The robbery was reported at 4:51 p.m. at the bank, 920 W. Main St. in Springfield. The suspect was apprehended at 5:15 p.m. about two blocks away, Springfield police said.
The robber handed a note but did not show a weapon. He was described as a white man in his 50s wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt.
The same bank was robbed on Jan. 22.
