BODY CAMERA VIDEO: Suspect caught breaking into Englewood Perkins restaurant

ENGLEWOOD — Dramatic body camera video from Englewood police shows officers arresting a West Milton man at gunpoint at Perkins.

Police were called around 11 p.m. to Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, 1235 S. Main St., to a possible break-in.

Officers arrested the suspect, 46-year-old Denton Edward Little, who had climbed onto the restaurant’s roof.

“Come on down. I got a gun on you. Come on down. We got one at gunpoint,” one officer said.

Police flashlights illuminated Little on the roof.

One officer kept his gun trained on Little, and told his partner to grab his Taser stun gun.

“Get your Taser if we need to. On the ground. On the ground right now! On the ground right now, is there anyone else in there?” to which Little replied he was alone.

Little is held on $75,000 bond in the Montgomery County Jail. He is charged with breaking and entering, safecracking and possessing criminal tools, all felony charges.

Little was appointed a public defender during his arraignment Tuesday. If he posts bond, he will be ordered to be on electronic home detention, records show.
