Dayton Children’s Hospital enacts ‘targeted reduction in workforce’ due to COVID-19 impacts

DAYTON — As part of Dayton Children’s Hospital’s response to the economic impacts from COVID-19, the hospital has enacted a “targeted reduction in workforce.”

The hospital system did not say how many jobs were impacted by the decision, which was done in conjunction with other costs savings measures.

“While these are very difficult decisions to make, as we deeply value each of our team members, they enable us to navigate these unprecedented times and position the hospital to continue to provide the highest quality pediatric health care to our region’s children,” said Stacy Porter, spokeswoman for the hospital. “The COVID-19 pandemic presented us, like many other organizations, with tremendous challenges. Similar to other hospitals and health systems, we have experienced a large drop in revenue.”
