Beavercreek HS Junior set to do flyover before homecoming game tonight

BEAVERCREEK — Tonight’s homecoming football game will leave many remembering the night in Beavercreek.

Beavercreek High School Junior ROTC Cadet, Harrison “Harry” Jacob, is set to do a flyover between 6:30 p.m. and 6:50 p.m., just before kick-off, according to a press release from Beavercreek City Schools.

During the summer, Jacob earned his private pilot license at Bowling Green State University’s Flight Center.

The release said that Jacob accumulated over 50 hours of flying and aced his five-hour solo check ride.

As part of the eight-week Flight Academy course, students learn the fundamentals of flight, such as meteorology, navigation, and communication.
