People lined up on Sunday night before the grand opening, camping out until the doors opened.
The City of Huber Heights said in a social media post that they are aware of the heavy traffic that the grand opening will cause.
“ODOT has electronic message boards up, and Huber Heights Police will be on patrol, but we are asking you to stay alert while navigating the area. We want everyone to enjoy the first Ohio location, but also want everyone to remain safe while getting there.”
Some people plan to stay inside the store and shop for hours once the doors open.
One man from St. Louis said he has been to 17 Buc-ee’s locations, but this is his first time at a grand opening.
“I enjoyed the heck out of road tripping, and I’m going to make many more Buc-ee’s,” he said.
Governor Mike DeWine will officially welcome Buc-ees to Ohio with a ribbon-cutting at noon.
