An area school district is mourning the death of a graduate and a college lacrosse player killed in a crash in Wisconsin on Friday.

Springboro Schools wrote in a social media post on Saturday that they are mourning the loss of 2024 graduate and student athlete, Scott Michaud.
The Milwaukee County Examiner’s Office identified him as one of two Marquette University lacrosse players killed in a crash on Friday.
The second victim was identified as 20-year-old Noah Snyder, from Getzville, New York.

CBS affiliate WDJT reports that Milwaukee police are investigating the crash, and criminal charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
Marquette University said both students were named to the Big East All-Academic Team in their first year for maintaining a 3.0 grade point average.
Marquette Lacrosse posted a tribute to both student athletes on social media.
“Please join us in praying for Noah and Scott’s family, teammates, and friends. In moments like this, we come together as one community, supporting, encouraging, and lifting each other up.”
Marquette University held a remembrance mass on Saturday.
