UPDATE: 1 in custody after hours-long standoff in Greene County neighborhood

FAIRBORN — UPDATE @ 8:00 A.M.

A person is in custody after an hours-long standoff in a Greene County neighborhood.

As reported on News Center 7 Daybreak, Fairborn officers were outside a home at the 1500 block of Superior Avenue.

Officers responded around 9:36 p.m. to the area of Superior Avenue and Forest Street on a possible domestic dispute, according to a Fairborn Police spokesperson.

An iWitness7 reporter sent video of several police lights at the 1500 block of Superior Avenue in Fairborn just after 1 a.m.

Loud sirens could be heard on the video.

An officer spoke over the loudspeaker and asked for someone to come out of a house.

During the investigation, Fairborn officers determined that a male was barricaded inside the home.

The Regional Emergency Response Team (RERT) was also activated, the spokesperson said.

The male exited the residence, and officers arrested him.

The suspect had numerous active warrants as well as additional charges.
