UPDATE: Driver hospitalized after fleeing from traffic stop, crashing in Dayton neighborhood

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 12:14 p.m.:

A driver was hospitalized after fleeing from a traffic stop and crashing early Monday morning in a Dayton neighborhood.

Around 12:23 a.m., a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a suspected stolen vehicle as it was turning on Kathleen Ave, from Wrampler Ave, but the vehicle failed to stop.

TRENDING STORIES:

Shortly after the deputy terminated the traffic stop, the vehicle crashed into a parked vehicle, near the intersection of Kathleen Ave and Pointview Ave.

The suspect in the vehicle was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.

News Center 7 is working to learn if any charges have been filed against the driver.
