SHELBY COUNTY — UPDATE @ 12:38 p.m.:
Two women are dead after a crash involving a semi in Shelby County on Monday morning.

The crash was reported around 9:36 a.m. near the intersection of State Route 47 and Dawson Road, a Shelby County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher confirmed.

Shelby County Sheriff James Frye told News Center 7 that a car pulled out in front of a semi towing another semi.
Both people in the car, an 84-year-old woman and her 64-year-old daughter from Shelby County, were killed in the crash.
The driver of the semi, a Darke County resident, was checked by medics at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
