The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) was called to assist Englewood Police with a crash investigation. They set up a perimeter for two individuals who fled from the crash, according to Lt. Dallas Root, OSHP Dayton Post.
“As a result of the perimeter, the two individuals were observed getting into a pickup truck by one of the Ohio State troopers that were on the outside perimeter,” said Root. “A traffic stop was initiated on that pickup truck to make contact, and the vehicle subsequently fled the scene. A pursuit ensued involving several agencies.”
The pursuit ended on N. Main Street just south of Siebenthaler Street after a trooper used a PIT maneuver, stopping the truck, and ending the pursuit. All the suspects were taken into custody.
OSHP dispatchers initially told News Center 7 that three people were in custody.
Lt. Root said that one was released, and two people are in custody.
No troopers were injured in the pursuit.
