HARRISON TOWNSHIP — A teenager is at the hospital after an accidental shooting in Harrison Township on Friday, according to a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office sergeant.

Deputies were called to the 3000 block of Pittsburg Avenue on reports of a person shot around 6 p.m.

Investigators learned that a 16-year-old boy was mishandling a gun at his house, the sergeant told News Center 7 on scene.
The gun went off and hit the teen in the upper arm.
He was transported to Miami Valley Hospital North with non-life-threatening injuries.
This incident remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations.
