UPDATE: Officers tape off part of Dayton neighborhood after reported shooting

Officers and medics responded to a reported shooting in a Dayton neighborhood on Sunday.

News Center 7’s Malik Patterson has the latest information tonight on News Center 7 at 11:00.

They were dispatched at around 7:05 p.m. to the 1500 block of Warner Avenue on reports of a shooting, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch supervisor.

A Dayton Police sergeant told News Center 7’s Malik Patterson that a person was shot. They said that no one is in custody, but the victim is okay.

Photos show officers have surrounded part of the neighborhood with caution tape.

Our news crew saw shelling casings on the sidewalk.

News Center 7 has contacted the Dayton Police Department to learn what led to the shooting.
