Harrison Township’s only levy on the ballot, Issue 15, is its police levy.

The 3.5 million dollar levy would generate 1.2 million dollars a year for the township.

The last time a police levy was passed in Harrison Township was in 2016.

One resident said they initially agreed on the levy.

“We need a lot more officers,” said Veronica Fritz.

But Fritz has concerns because if the levy passes, it would cost homeowners $122 per $1,000 in property value.

“That’s too much for a person that done worked all their life and bought their home,” said Fritz.

Harrison Township has a scheduled meeting for Monday about the levy at 6 p.m.
