Dayton Police & Fire wrote in a social media post that smoke was showing from a two-story home when firefighters arrived.
Firefighters extinguished an attic fire, the social media post stated.
Dayton Battalion Chief Nick Judge told News Center 7’s Malik Patterson that there was a large initial response because of concerns that someone may have been trapped inside.
Occupants were going in and out of the home to get their belongings, but nobody was trapped according to Judge.
Judge said the fire was contained to the attic, and the Red Cross is helping occupants.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
