UPDATE: Fire damages part of Miami Twp. home

MIAMI TWP. — UPDATE: @ 10:00 P.M.

A fire damaged part of a Miami Township home on Sunday night.

The fire was reported at around 6:40 p.m. on the 2300 block of Lantern Hill Road, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center supervisor.

The Miami Valley Fire District posted a photo of the damage on social media.

It shows that the left side of a two-story home was damaged.

“We appreciate the assistance provided by our mutual aid partners from Washington Township Fire and Clearcreek Fire District,” said Miami Valley Fire District.

The dispatcher supervisor told News Center 7 that everybody got out of the home in time.

News Center 7 is working to learn what caused the fire and the estimated cost of the damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
