CENTERVILLE — UPDATE @ 6:55 P.M.
A person was hospitalized, and two condominiums were damaged after a fire in a Centerville neighborhood on Saturday.

Washington Township firefighters responded around 4:20 p.m. to the 0 block of Westerly Lane, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch supervisor.

When firefighters responded, they dealt with heavy smoke and fire conditions.
Washington Township battalion chief Nick Bergman said firefighters rescued a person.
“In searching the second floor, we found someone in the hallway of the second floor,” he told News Center 7’s Malik Patterson. “They were removed to the hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.”
The fire was contained to two adjacent condominiums, Bergman said.
Additional resources from other departments were requested.
No firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
