SPRINGBORO — An area high school baseball coach achieved a major career milestone.

Springboro Schools said in a social media post that Mark Pelfrey, Springboro High School baseball coach, earned career win number 600.
The Panthers beat Mamaroneck (New York), 3-2, as part of their spring trip in Florida, according to a social media post.

The city school district congratulated Coach Pelfrey.
“Congratulations, Coach! Let’s keep ‘em coming! Go Panthers!” they said on social media.
The Springboro baseball team also honored Pelfrey after Tuesday’s win.
“(Tuesday’s) win is number 600 in Coach Mark Pelfrey’s career!” they said. “One of the best to ever do it in our state. Congrats, Coach Pelfrey!“
The Springboro baseball team continues its spring trip in Florida on Wednesday.
