DAYTON — Two people were shot in Dayton on Wednesday, a Montgomery County dispatch supervisor confirmed.

The shooting was reported in the area of Valley View Drive and W Fairview Avenue around 6:40 p.m.

A Dayton police officer on scene told Center 7 that someone fired shots during a large fight that started on Marie Avenue.
It’s unclear how many people had guns and were shooting during the fight.
Two people were shot, but information on their current conditions wasn’t immediately available.
One of the victims ran after being shot and was found at Valley View Drive and W Fairview Avenue, the officer said.
This shooting remains under investigation by the Dayton Police Department.
