Man hospitalized after shooting in Montgomery County

JEFFERSON TWP — A man was injured in a shooting in Montgomery County early Saturday morning, according to a spokesperson with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened in the 300 block of Lawncrest Ave in Jefferson Township around 12:45 a.m.

Upon arrival, deputies found a man in his 30s with gunshot wounds to his legs.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The spokesperson said the victim and witnesses were uncooperative with authorities.

The victim claimed that he shot himself; however, that wasn’t consistent with his wounds, the spokesperson said.

No one else was injured

Deputies do not believe anyone else was injured in this shooting.
