DAYTON — A jury found a man guilty of killing an 18-year-old Dunbar High School student, Alfred Hale III, who died near the RTA hub on his way to school.
Julius Williamson Jr., 24, was found guilty on all counts, including murder.
As News Center 7 has previously reported, Hale, 18, was waiting for a bus to take him to Dunbar High School, where he was a senior.
Hale was shot and killed a month before his graduation.

“He said, ‘I’ll kill you.’ He threw him to the ground, he brought the gun back to point at Alfred, pulled the trigger,” Richard Smith, assistant prosecuting attorney, said.
Smith used video of the incident to show that there was no doubt about what Williamson did.
He emphasized that Williamson waited until Hale turned away before grabbing a gun from his girlfriend’s purse.
Williamson’s lawyers said the video showed a man trying to calm a teen whom they claimed was the aggressor and only pulled his gun out to calm the situation.
Prosecutors in their rebuttal closing argument labeled that interpretation of what happened as nonsense.
“What matters is evidence, what matters is truth, what matters is justice,” Lynda Dodd, prosecutor, said. “When he puts that gun to that young boy’s head, an 18-year-old young man who was just trying to get to finish his senior year.”
The jury deliberated for less than an hour before coming back with its guilty verdicts.
Williamson’s sentencing will take place in a couple of weeks.
