1 in custody after SWAT standoff in Dayton

DAYTON — One person was taken into custody after a SWAT standoff in Dayton on Wednesday.

Crews responded to the area of Bluecrest Avenue around 10:40 a.m. to look for a wanted person.

Police on the scene said they were assisting the U.S. Marshals.

After more than three hours, a man came out of the home and was taken into custody shortly after 2 p.m., according to our crew on the scene.

That person was identified by a spokesperson for the U.S. Marshals Service’s Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team as Jashawn Winn.
