NEW ALBANY, Ohio — A man accused of a mass shooting that killed two of his co-workers and injured four others earlier this year has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
As previously reported by News Center 7, Bruce Foster III allegedly opened fire at the KDC One warehouse in February, killing Kyle Vaver, 38, and Shekhar Chapagai, 30.
The filing for Foster III was processed in the Licking County Court of Common Pleas on Nov.6, according to our news partner, WBNS.

The plea comes after a psychiatric evaluation hearing was held to determine if Foster III is competent to stand trial.
A forensic psychologist who evaluated Foster III testified that he understands the nature of legal proceedings and is capable of assisting his attorney.
This evaluation follows Foster III’s court-ordered hospitalization after he was unfit to stand trial in May.
Foster III has been receiving treatment at the Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare.
Brandon Shroy, Foster III’s attorney, argued that Foster III is still not fit to stand trial and participate in the case.
The judge has ordered a new psychiatric evaluation for Foster III, which could take weeks to get the results.
Once the results are back, the judge will determine if Foster III is mentally competent to stand trial.
