UPDATE: Car taped off with yellow caution tape after shooting in Trotwood

TROTWOOD — UPDATE @ 4:50 A.M.

Officers and medics responded to a reported shooting in Trotwood early Friday morning.

The shooting was reported at around 3:46 a.m. at the 4600 block of Natchez Avenue, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatcher Center supervisor.

Photos from our news crew show that Trotwood officers surrounded a white car with yellow caution tape.

They were searching the car for evidence.

In a 911 call obtained from News Center 7, a caller said his father was shot.

“My dad got shot,” the son said. “I think it’s his leg.”

The dispatcher told the son to apply pressure to the gunshot wound. He said that his father was breathing and talking.

Medics also left the scene when our news crew arrived.

News Center 7 has contacted Trotwood Police to learn what led to the shooting.
