News Center 7’s Xavier Hershovitz reports that oil experts say that it’s all tied to restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping channel in Iran.

It has caused months of volatility in the oil market, and drivers are feeling the pinch.

“I thought ‘wow, it’s gotten expensive,’” Murad Kiran of Huber Heights said.

“Really want the prices to go down. I mean, we talked about it a year ago, but it seems everything has gone to trouble with Iran and things like that. It’s out of our control,” said Don Schenck.

Oil experts told Hershovitz that any development with the Strait of Hormuz will continue to impact gas prices.
