CHAMPAIGN COUNTY — A house is a total loss after a fire in Champaign County on Wednesday.

The fire was reported along West Sandusky Street in Mechanicsburg around 4:30 p.m., according to the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.

Upon arrival, crews determined it was an active fire.
Several fire departments responded to the scene to help, including the Northeast Champaign County Fire District, the Urbana Fire Division, the London Fire Department, and more.
The fire department gave a special thanks to Pizza Alley for supplying dinner to the crews and residents while on scene.
A Champaign County dispatcher previously told News Center 7 that no injuries were reported in this incident.
The cause of this fire remains under investigation, according to the department.
