All severe warnings cancelled; Chance for storms continues this week

MIAMI VALLEY — An earlier Tornado Warning for Clark County has since been cancelled.

Isolated severe storms will continue to be possible through the evening. Storms will bring a chance for flooding, strong winds, and frequent lightning.

Storm Center 7’s team of meteorologists are continuing to track the storms after several severe thunderstorm warnings and a tornado warning. Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Austin Chaney has the latest track and impacts on News Center 7 at 11:00.

Dangerous heat continues throughout the region with scattered storms possible for the next several days.

We will see highs near 90 degrees with the heat index approaching 100 degrees today. It will be partly cloudy, hot, and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms for parts of the region.

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Britley Ritz says we could see heavy downpours with scattered storms throughout the afternoon and evening. Some localized flooding is possible.

The chance for storms will continue throughout the weekend.
