UPDATE: Search for missing man suspended at Madison Lake

TROTWOOD — UPDATE @ 11:45 P.M.

The search has been suspended for a missing man at Madison Lake for the rest of the night.

It will resume on Sunday morning.

As reported on News Center 7 at 11:00, Trotwood medics and officers responded at around 5:35 p.m. to the 500 block of Olive Road to a reported water rescue at Madison Lake.

People called 911 dispatchers for help.

“I just jumped in to try to get him,” a caller said. “He’s already not at the top anymore.”

“Okay, so you can’t see him anymore?” the dispatcher asked.

“No! He’s been under there for like, maybe three minutes now. He’s not coming back up.”

Madison Lake has signs posted that do not allow swimming.

Laurie Norvell told Bridgeman that people ignore the warnings all the time.

“There’s other places to swim, you don’t have to do it here, because this is not conducive to swimming,” she said.
