The vehicle also struck several road signs, a tree, and a utility pole before coming to a rest.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle by West Milton Fire/EMS and transported to Upper Valley Medical Center for evaluation.
The driver was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Impaired (OVI), Open Container in a Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Control, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies noticed the utility pole was loose in the ground after the crash and notified AES so it could be inspected.
