The Dayton Metro Library is preparing to re-open a branch in a new building.
The Wilmington-Stroop Branch, 3980 Wilmington Pike, will celebrate its grand opening next week on Saturday, June 1. The ribbon cutting and a sneak preview to the public will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.
Regular hours will start on Monday, June 3, and a special quiet tour will be held Wednesday, June 5 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
The old building closed in December of 2017 and was demolished. The new building was paid for by voters who passed a bond issue in 2012.
