The enforcement led to 573 speed citations, 27 safety belt violation citations and 11 impaired driving arrests, officials said. All three agencies had 821 speed citations, 37 safety belt violation citations and 25 impaired driving arrests.
All three jurisdictions are part of the 6-State Trooper Project, which is a multi-state law enforcement partnership aimed at providing combined and coordinated law enforcement and security services in the areas of highway safety, criminal patrol and information sharing, according to a release.
Other law enforcement agencies that are part of the 6-State Trooper Project are the Kentucky State Police, Michigan State Police and West Virginia State Police, but they did not participate in this campaign because it is not in their corridor.
