Truck Fest returning to Springfield; Sign up open for vehicles

SPRINGFIELD — Truck Fest is returning to Springfield this summer.

The event, scheduled for June 10 at the Eagle City Soccer Complex, gives kids the chance to explore different kinds of trucks, tractors, and anything on wheels. They’ll be able to honk the horns, flash the light, and sit in the driver’s seat, event organizers said in a release.

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon. Sensory time will also be offered from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with limited honks, lights, and sirens.

The National Trail Parks and Recreation District is looking for as many different types of vehicles as possible for the event. Vehicles eligible for participation include motorcycles, tractor-trailers, fire trucks, police cars, school buses, cement mixers, riding lawnmowers, trash haulers, and limos.

To reserve a spot over the phone or to ask questions, you can call the National Trail Parks and Recreation District Superintendent at (937)-328-3453.
