An initial investigation from OSHP revealed that a 2026 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer combination and a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer combination were going west on I-70 when the 2026 Freightliner lost control and hit the 2023 Freightliner.
After colliding, the 2026 Freightliner continued to the right and hit the guardrail before overturning across two westbound lanes and the on-ramp to US68 northbound.
The 2023 Freightliner went off the left side of the interstate and hit the median cable barrier.
The driver of the 2026 Freightliner, a 47-year-old man from Canal Winchester, had to be extricated from the semi and treated at the scene for minor injuries.
He was also cited for failure to maintain reasonable control of a motor vehicle, OSHP confirmed.
The driver of the 2023 Freightliner, a 34-year-old New York man, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
