HUBER HEIGHTS — UPDATE @ 11:20 P.M.
A traffic stop led to a crash on a busy Huber Heights street on Saturday night.

As reported on News Center 7 at 11:00, a Huber Heights officer saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Brandt Pike northbound near Powell Road at around 8:34 p.m.

“The Officer attempted to stop the vehicle, which failed to yield to the active emergency lights and siren. The officer continued to pursue the suspect vehicle northbound on Brandt Pike, traveling between 50-60 mph,” the spokesperson stated.
The driver went through a red light and turned onto Chambersburg Road.
The officer initiated a PIT maneuver and brought the vehicle to a stop, the spokesperson added.
Video and pictures from an iWitness 7 viewer initially showed that a police cruiser made a pit maneuver against a white car.
News Center 7’s Malik Patterson reports that the video shows a man in the driver’s seat yelling at police.
He then climbs over the passenger side and out of the car.
“Get over here now, let me get my baby,” he said.
Patterson said that the video shows the man pulling out his phone and calling a family member.
Neither was transported to an area hospital, a police spokesperson said.
The child was released to a family member.
The adult is in custody at the Montgomery County Jail.
