MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office believe they found the person responsible for running over a woman on Sunday morning.

As reported on News Center 7’s Daybreak, the incident happened around 3:40 a.m. near the 4200 block of Wenz Court in Harrison Township at an apartment complex.

One woman was taken to the hospital.
The Grant family, who live in that complex, are relieved to hear that the driver is in custody.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the driver is facing felony assault charges.
The driver’s identity has not been released yet.
The Grant family said they heard a noise outside their apartment and saw two women fighting in the parking lot.
One woman got into her car and allegedly used it to hit the other woman.
“The girl got out of the car, and her friend, or whoever was in the car, she reversed out the parking lot, out of the parking spot, and then hit her and ran her over, and she just kept going,” said Camya Grant.
News Center 7 is working to learn the condition of the person who was hit.
