According to the fire marshal’s office, the illegal fireworks were being stored in two locations in Jamestown -- in the 4700 block of Waynesville Jamestown Road and the 3900 block of Shawnee Trail.
News's Center 7's John Bedell was in Jamestown and talked with investigators about what they found.
Investigators said they went to both addresses with search warrants based on a tip. From there, investigators seized what is being described as a "mix of commercial and consumer grade fireworks."
They also seized a "homemade display rack," which is a system of plastic tubing used to set off fireworks.

A man at the home on Waynesville Jamestown Road told Bedell he was storing the fireworks for his son ahead of the July 4 holiday when investigators showed up. The plan, according to the man, was to set off the fireworks for the holiday.
State officials say the man did not have permits for the commercial grade fireworks and also was not allowed to have the consumer grade products.
The fire marshal’s office has not named a suspect but did confirm that charges are pending.
