30 year old flown to hospital after crash in Darke County

ARCANUM — A 30-year-old has serious injuries after a crash in Darke County on Friday.

Just before 1 p.m., Darke County deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of East Alternate State Route 49 and Gordon Landis Road.

An initial investigation found that a Honda Element was northbound on Gordon Landis and had pulled up to the stop sign at E. Alt 49.

It pulled into the intersection, failing to yield to a Ford F250.

The Ford F250, which was pulling a cargo trailer, struck the Honda Element, causing both vehicles to go off the north side of E. Alt 49, according to a media release.

The Honda Element then hit a utility pole.

The driver of the Honda had serious injuries and was flown to Miami Valley Hospital.

They are listed in stable condition.

The media release did not state whether the driver of the Ford F250 was hurt.
