WAYNE TWP. — A Warren County road closed Monday for repairs after a fuel tanker crashed and erupted in flames early Sunday.

The Ohio Department of Transportation will be cleaning and repairing the ditchline, shoulder and guardrail today on U.S. Route 42 where the crash happened.

The road is expected to be closed until about 5 p.m. Drivers can take state Route 73 and state Route 48 during the closure.

The tanker, driven by Jeffrey Miller, 36, of Union, was going north on U.S 42 when it went off the right side of the road and into a ditch, rolling onto its side. The tanker caught fire and burned for an hour and a half.
