Prosecutors: Man accused of sexually abusing 14-year-old made videos of crimes; faces 98 charges

RIVERSIDE — A Riverside man is facing 63 new charges related to creating and possessing child pornography.

David Shade, 47, was indicted on 39 counts of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity-Oriented Material or Performance and 24 counts of Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor.

Shade was previously indicted by a Montgomery County Grand Jury on Oct. 15, 2021 on 35 counts connected to the sexual assault of a 14-year-old female victim, which an investigation showed dated back to at least December 2018.

A previous investigation showed that Shade made videos of the encounters and uploaded them to the internet, according to Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr.

During a further investigation, a forensic examination of Shade’s electronic devices discovered additional child pornography.

Shade is scheduled to be arraigned on the additional counts on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
