SPRINGFIELD — Police are investigating after one person was stabbed Wednesday afternoon at a home in Springfield.

Officers and medics responded around 2:30 p.m. to the home in the 800 block of Hillcrest Avenue.

Detectives were on the scene investigating, but additional details were not released, such as the victim’s name, age and condition, and whether police have a suspect in the case.
A sergeant said Wednesday evening that further information would not be released until Thursday.
