The Piqua waste water facility has started construction of a forty million dollar project to expand and improve their current space.

These improvements are a result of an order by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to correct problems of sanitary sewer over flow happening since 2002. These improvements must be completed by 2020.
City Manager Gary Huff stated, “This project will put Piqua decades into the future.” Piqua City Mayor Kazy Hinds added that this was, “A good day for Piqua.”
