Perry Township Board of Trustees votes to terminate police chief

PERRY TOWNSHIP — The Perry Township Board of Trustees voted Friday to terminate the chief of police.

Timothy Littleton was terminated in a special meeting held by the board of trustees.

“The Perry Township Board of Trustees anticipate a smooth transition by reorganizing the Perry Township Police Department from within,” a Perry Township said. “We would like to thank the Officers of Perry Township Police Department for their dedication and service to the Residents of Perry Township.”

News Center 7 previously reported about a proposal for New Lebanon police to take over services for the district.

The Board said it remains committed to protecting the safety of the Perry Township residents.
