SPRINGFIELD — UPDATE @ 11:01 P.M.
A man is dead after a shooting at a Springfield apartment complex on Saturday.
The shooting was reported at around 8:54 p.m. at an apartment complex on Dwight Road.
Springfield Police told News Center 7’s Ava Petrosky that officers found a man shot when they arrived at the scene.
Medics transported the victim to a local hospital where he died.
Our news crew saw several evidence markers at the scene.

The shooting was reported at around 8:54 p.m. at the 2700 block of Dwight Road, according to a Springfield Police sergeant.

The sergeant confirmed to News Center 7 that there is at least one shooting victim.
He also said that officers were still at the scene investigating.
